Synopsis
ZELLIGE ARTCADE is grounded in a conviction: heritage is not content to be consumed, nor an archive to be consulted. It is a living material, capable of generating the unprecedented at every encounter.
A QR code. A smartphone. A large shared screen. From 2 to 30+ participants collectively generate zellige patterns, Arabic calligraphy, and Moroccan rhythms in real time from their own smartphones — no app, no account, no cultural or technical prerequisites.
Four games available — ZELLIGE, NAJMA, KHATT, IQAA — each rooted in a Moroccan cultural practice. Continuously deployed at Fondation EPANWE since June 2026: 2,800 participants in three days, zero failures recorded.
Playing with heritage means inhabiting it differently.
