DATA RUG applies Berber rug logic to live urban data. Air quality, noise, traffic, weather — each variable is translated into pattern, color, density. The result is a digital textile that exists only for this city, at this moment.
The installation captures the host city's open data (air quality API, noise, traffic flow). A generative weaving algorithm translates these streams into a continuous pattern, projected at large scale. The rug grows as long as the exhibition lasts.
