Yes — the calculator is sector-agnostic. It works from two inputs that apply across industries: the time currently spent on a task and the loaded hourly cost of the person doing it. The output is a time-to-payback estimate, which is meaningful regardless of what your business does.
The loaded hourly cost is the total cost of an employee or yourself, including salary, social charges, and overhead, divided by productive hours per year. A simple rule of thumb for France: multiply the gross monthly salary by 1.5 to 1.7 for charges, then divide by 160 hours. The calculator includes a guide to help you arrive at a realistic figure.
No. The calculator produces estimates based on the figures you enter. Real-world results depend on implementation quality, how stable the process is, and how well the automation handles exceptions. Use the output as a decision-making guide, not a contractual projection.
The calculator is designed to evaluate one task at a time, which gives a clearer picture per process. You can run multiple calculations in sequence to compare tasks and prioritise which automation to tackle first. A summary view for multiple tasks is on the roadmap for a future version.
